When we were planning this trip back in the UK, I showed Anni some pictures of a group walking across a glacier. She told me in no uncertain terms that was one thing I could never persuade her to do - far too dangerous! When we arrived at our B&B in El Calafate we asked the owner which tours he recommended. He spoke with such enthusiasm about the Glacier Minitrek that he had Anni hooked straight away. To my enormous surprise she insisted there and then that we should do it. So, Sunday 3rd March 2013, will long remain in our memories as the day we strapped on our crampons, and set out to trek across the ice of the Perito Moreno Glacier. And I have to say I am incredibly proud of Anni. We have shared the experience of a lifetime.
